Nevio VesićStaff Software / Protocol Engineer

Hi, I'm Nevio. I build infrastructure that holds up under real traffic.

Available from October 2026 for protocol, infrastructure and distributed-systems work in Rust and Go, on a B2B contract through my own company, InOrbit d.o.o.

Things that run here for other people.

The parts of the platform that someone other than me uses. The Radar now; the training tracks when the first one opens.

  • Radar

Weekly · web and Atom · free

What changed in Go, Rust and Solidity this week, from each project's own release notes, proposals and issues. For each change: what it is, what it means for code you run, and an exercise that runs. Written by a model, reviewed by me, out on Mondays.

query out
Every layera trace id into logs, traces, metrics and continuous profiles, and a packet capture when those lie
Before productionload, injected latency, dropped packets, storage faults, property-based runs
01
The spec, then the wire
I read the RFC first and the packet capture second, and when they disagree I trust the capture. The bugs that took longest to find were in that difference.
02
Observable by default
Every request carries a trace id through logs, metrics, traces and continuous profiles, so in an incident I can see what a given request did.
03
Tested against faults
The tooling that injects latency, errors, dropped packets and storage failures in development runs in CI too. The first time the code meets a bad disk should not be in production.
04
Out in the open
Open source where the client allows it. The libraries are on GitHub, and some are still used by people I have never met.
