A letter from the founder

Hello, and welcome to InOrbit

Before I introduce what I've been building, I'm curious: what's been your biggest frustration when using AI agents to build or operate real systems?

01Why I am writing

I'd love to hear your experiences. Write to me, and I'm happy to discuss the challenges you're facing, exchange ideas, and explore how we might address them together.

I've had my fair share of these challenges, and they've shaped something I've been working towards over the past few years: InOrbit.

There's a lot of talk about AI replacing engineers. I'm building InOrbit for the opposite: to give engineers more reach, with agents doing the work they direct, check and sign off. The judgement stays with people.

02What InOrbit is

InOrbit works with the tools, infrastructure, and workflows you already have. No need to replace your existing systems or rebuild everything from scratch. The goal is to connect, extend, and improve what you've already built.

AI agents should understand the systems they work on, and not only generate code based on assumptions. They should coordinate, preserve company knowledge and architectural intent, and provide verifiable evidence of their work, with humans always retaining ultimate authority.

I believe it's time to move beyond prompt-driven development towards a truly AI-native engineering experience, where agents, people, and systems collaborate through programmable coordination, shared observability, architectural decisions, and human-controlled workflows: from the initial idea to production and beyond.

Underneath it all are explicit, machine-readable contracts and schemas:

SCHEMASschemas.inorbit.hrVersioned wire-format definitions for every contract.
To put it simply: designers have Photoshop and Figma. 3D creators have Blender and Unity. I'm building InOrbit as a connected workspace for AI-native engineering, where people, agents, and existing tools can work together on real systems.

03Where it stands

The platform is still under active development. The current deployment is a demo environment, with many features in preview and access currently limited to me and a few partners in crime. :)

I'm inviting engineers, researchers, and teams to explore the platform, challenge the ideas, and help shape what's next.

05Signed

There's still plenty to build and improve, and I'd welcome your feedback, criticism, and ideas.
