Staff / Senior Software Engineer
Distributed Systems · Infrastructure · Rust · Go
Rijeka and Zagreb, Croatia
Looking for a full-time contract from November 2026: protocol, infrastructure and distributed-systems work in Rust and Go, invoiced B2B through my own company, InOrbit d.o.o.
The full version, with a phone number and an address (references on request), is behind a sign-in: ask, I approve, and you get a PDF prepared for you.
Twenty years of building software, most of it infrastructure: distributed systems, storage, protocols and telecommunications. Eleven of those years in Go, and the last one in Rust. Along the way I have led teams of up to five, and done the part of that job that is meetings with management and clients.
The order was telecom, then real-time networks, then blockchain. Voice servers, SMS and carrier services to begin with; then anycast TURN and SIP networks and the packet work in the kernel under them; then an optimistic rollup, a cross-chain bridge and indexers that keep up with a chain; then two years at Tenderly on the RPC layer in front of about 110 networks, EVM and otherwise.
Away from the screen: a guitar, more philosophy and psychology than is strictly useful, the dogs, and my girlfriend.

Web, then the server under it
Agencies and product shops in Rijeka and New Jersey, PHP and JavaScript: a CMS, a booking system, an e-commerce platform, the front end of a CPaaS. Where I learned that someone has to keep the server up, and that it might as well be me.

Telecom at the protocol level
Voice servers on FreeSWITCH and Kamailio, an SMS stack over SMPP, carrier and number services, and a rewrite of those services from Python into Go; then, after the acquisition, the architecture of the CPaaS front end and the team that built it, with the security and compliance side thrown in.
TelAPI · TelAPI Adriatica · Avaya - 2018 — 2022
Anycast networks
One of the first three engineers at Subspace: an anycast network from Layer 1 to Layer 7, built in six months for a region and running above sixty gigabits a second from the start; anycast TURN on 150-plus points of presence and SIP anycast beside it; the packet work in eBPF underneath, and a patent filing on it.
Subspace, through InOrbit - 2022 — 2024
Blockchain protocols
An optimistic EVM rollup taken to production, one of the first WASM ports of a Layer 2 node in Go, a liquidity bridge between Ethereum and Bitcoin on multi-party computation; on the side, (Un)Pack, a contract-analysis product of my own, and the solgo parser it left behind as open source.
Eiger · (Un)Pack - 2024 — 2026
Blockchain infrastructure
Two years at Tenderly on the RPC layer in front of every network it serves, about 110 mainnets and testnets, EVM and otherwise, in Rust and Go with the SRE and platform teams. The contract ended in September 2026.

InOrbit d.o.o.
We're a small company, and here are the facts
These are the answers a security review usually asks for first. We list the gaps because they're real.
- Company
- InOrbit d.o.o., registered in 2018. MBS 081116183, OIB 38846238650. Benčani 15A, Saršoni, 51216 Viškovo, Croatia.
- People
- One founder, Nevio Vesić, who builds the platform and answers every request in person.
- Stage
- Early access. We don't have paying customers yet. Partners get access by request, with a signed NDA.
- Where it runs
- Production runs in Croatia. During early access there's no SLA.
- Controls
- Our controls follow SOC 2, but no auditor has attested them yet. Known gaps: one person approves every change, and there's no SLA during early access. Our logs record who did what and the result, never your content.
- Your data
- A data processing agreement on the EU standard clauses is being prepared; until it is signed, pilots run without confidential data. The platform's own models run on our own servers. If you connect a third-party provider such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini, you use your own key, under your own terms with them. Your provider bills you directly; InOrbit adds no line or markup. Separately, our own DPAs with model providers are in progress; none is signed yet.
- Security

- The founder
- Before InOrbit, Nevio spent twenty years on infrastructure: voice servers and SMS gateways, anycast networks carrying real-time traffic, and later rollups and bridges. From 2024 to 2026 he worked on the backend of Tenderly's RPC layer in Rust and Go, serving about 110 networks, alongside its SRE and platform teams.
